  I had persistant acne during my teenage years. Now, I am 30 years old and havent had any acne for last 10 years. However, now I am left with bad acne marks, especially on my cheeks. I recently heard about North Coast MD spa, and went there yesterday hoping to get a Pixel Perfect Laser treatment. I was greeted by a very friendly and knowledgeable Facility Manager and a Nurse.
  
  I was told that for my skin type (Skin Gradient 5-6) Erbium might be a better solution that Pixel Perfect. And even with Erbium, to reduce risk they advised me to go with moderate level intensity laser for the first treatment. At first, i was slightly disappointed at their approach. However, I myself work in medical device field, and after giving it a thought, I appreciated their "safety first" approach. After numbing my face for 30 minutes using topical anesthesia , the nurse started the procedure that took approximately 20 minutes (only for cheeks). It was slightly uncomfortable for the first minute or so, but then I got used to it.
  
  After the procedure, my cheeks are swollen and red. Today, I look like a baby baboon (a cute one though, as told by colleagues), but on a positive note, the skin texture looks MUCH smoother. It will be interesting to see what happens in a week or so when the swelling subsides. However, from my experience so far, I am happy with the friendly and professional service that North Coast Oasis MD team provided yesterday. Will update my review in couple of month or so when I finish all my treatments.
